Fixed My Father’s Drooping Eye

Thanks to the aesthetic clinic in Orchard, my father’s annoying eye problem has finally been fixed. My Dad is almost 80 years old and one of the problems he’s encountered as the years go by is a drooping eyelid. I think it might be genetic because I remember my grandfather (his father) having the same problem near the end of his life. Dad’s eye started out barely noticeable and got worse over the course of a couple of years. It finally got so bad that it started harming his vision. Since he still drives, this is a real problem.

I really didn’t know what to do until someone I know suggested taking him to a clinic. I thought that might involve surgery and wasn’t sure that would be a good solution to the problem. Surgeries get scary for the elderly, and Dad was adamant that he wouldn’t go under the knife to fix the problem. I made a few phone calls and found a place that said they almost never had to resort to surgery to fix a drooping eyelid. That sounded great to me so we made an appointment and went to see what we could do for his eye.

It turns out that ultrasound energy can be used on skin to help tighten it up. It involves stimulating the skin in order to increase the amount of collagen so that everything firms up. Apparently our bodies don’t produce enough collagen as we age, which results in all sorts of things like flabby skin and wrinkles. They worked on my father’s eyelid and after a few treatments I noticed marked improvement of his condition. He says he can see better and he quit constantly rubbing his eye so I think it worked. He might need more treatments in the future, but that’s a small price to pay for him feeling better.
