One of my friends at the Treasure at Tampines where I stay decided that he wanted to have a big party. He had won some money when he went to Las Vegas a few weeks ago, and wanted to share it with everyone, so he bought a lot of food and invited everyone to eat with him. Personally, I would have saved the money by putting it in a savings account, but I guess someone people would rather do things their own way. Still, it was a nice thing for him to do, and I was glad that he invited me.

A lot of people came to the party. I guess no one can really turn down the promise of free food. The lines for the food were so long that people had to stand in place for nearly 5 minutes before they made their way down to it. Standing in line for so long made everyone hungry, and when they put food on their plates, they piled the plates up. There was more than enough food to go around, so it didn’t matter that everyone was getting a lot. My friend also had a wide variety of drinks for us to have. It was like he had hired his own bartender to make drinks for the event, except he was doing it all by himself.

We all thought that the guy had learned how to bartender while he was spending time in Las Vegas, but he simply learned how to mix drinks from browsing the Internet. I was amazed that he was able to remember so many drink recipes, and every time he served the drinks, he put his own little spin on it. He would twist the bottles and flip them up in the air and catch them without dropping a single one.
